Happy Mother's Day!
Happy mother's day to all of you that have children! My day began with breakfast in bed- (a Doty Girl tradition on Mother's Day) then a movie (Georgia Rule), and ended with dinner at Grande's (am Italian restaurant). All in all, a wonderful day with my girls. Tomorrow, back to reading, writing, and trying to get this coursework done!
Georgia Rule is actually a sleeper. We chose it because we felt it was an appropriate Mother's day movie, with the storyline being centered on the relationship between three generations of women and how they negotiate their relationships with one another. But, I have to say that it was a nice surprise. I had forgotten what an excellent actress Jane Fonda is. And, Lindsay Lohan isn't too bad either. She springs a surprise on everyone that made all the difference in how I viewed her character. Now, the movie you want to wait for on video is Invisible. This movie was just too darn long, and somewhat predictable. The only think I will tell you about this one was that I was glad when a certain character winds up dead. Trust me, even when it gets to video, unless you have 2 hours of nothing else you'd rather be doing, don't rush to Blockbuster to pick it up-unless you have a teenager that absolutely has to see it. then, it might be worth your while.
