What would you have done if you were Lil'Kim. I have to say I am disgusted at the level to which "justice" is used to maintain control of under represented minorites and hedgemony. If the best they can do is put a rap artist in jail because she didn't want to be involved, its no wonder that the serious issues that require attention continually slip through the justice system unchanged. How many murders are comitted by organized crime? How many acts of genocide has this country witnessed? Can you say Hotel Rwanda?
It amazes me how when the U.S. doesn't want to get involved in a conflict, its okay to allow 800 thousand people to be sytematically murdered; but if a famous rapper wants to look the other way, than she must be penalized. After all, who does she think she is? As Kayne West eloquently puts it " even if you in a Benz, you still a nigga in a coupe/coop". Word play? Not at all...
